Choosing Perfect Location for your Sunroom Addition

solarium, breakfast room, low e glass, polycarbonate glass, sunroom furniture, vinyl patio enclosure, backyard living
One of the things that a homeowner must consider is what direction they want their sunroom addition to face. All four directions have their pros and cons.
A north facing conservatory, gets the least amount of sunshine. This type of atrium will stay coolest year round. Colorful fabrics can be used without fear of fading from the sun. You will benefit from an added heat source.
An east facing solarium gets the morning sun. It is perfect for a breakfast room, an ideal place to enjoy the morning paper, and a nice way to relax later in the day without the glare of the afternoon sun.
A west facing atrium gets the afternoon sun. Building a sunroom facing west requires sunroom materials that have heat reducing or even cooling properties. Low e glass, and polycarbonate insulated glass help tremendously.
Finally, a south facing sun room is best for those who love the sun. It is the direction which gets the most sunshine all day long. Sunroom furniture must take into consideration color fading, and the sunroom design must incorporate heat resistant materials.
Whatever direction you choose for your vinyl patio enclosure, a bit of planning with a professional sunroom designer will allow you and your family to enjoy the pleasures of backyard living from the beauty and protection of your Hudson Valley sunroom for years to come.
